Every tile begins as one of my original illustrations. The artwork is made into modern transfers that are applied by hand, and fired in my studio kiln to permanently fuse the image with the clay body.
I use Fireclay tile, which is sustainably made in Spokane, Washington. I’ve attached hanging hardware to each tile, and they can either be framed or unframed if you’d like it as an art object. They also can be incorporated into your home design as a backsplash to a sink or behind a stove or even for use in the floor.

How it’s made
The Whidbey Delft Ware Collection
Each vintage or thrifted ceramic ware piece is transformed with original Delft-inspired artwork. Using rescued dishware keeps useful objects in circulation and celebrates the imperfections that come with age and use.Because the ware is sourced second-hand, quantities are limited and no two pieces are alike.
